Talk about some incredibly exciting news: we have been offered a major retail space at The Derby Street Shoppes in Hingham, MA for the NEAFA 2011 Calendar Preview and Arts Exhibition, which will run from Thursday, March 18th, through Wednesday, March 31st!
The NEAFA 2011 Calendar Preview will be a showcase of the semi-finalists’ artworks which will adorn next years’ calendar. From this body of work, our jurors will choose 14 pieces; one for each month, one for January of the following year, and lastly, the prestigious cover. Three of the 14 spots available will be dedicated to young artists in Grades K-3, 4-6, and 7-12. The public will vote on their favorites during the course of the show and their votes, along with those of the jurors, will determine the final content of the NEAFA 2011 Calendar. The winners will be announced the first week of April 2010. The NEAFA Arts Exhibition will be invitation-only for NEAFA artists, as well as a wonderful retrospective of the best work from previous shows.
